On October 30, Kong Yufeng, aka ‘King Kong Liuke’, posted a controversial video on Douyin, China’s edition of TikTok, in which he placed a bet to survive on finding the cheapest food for at least a week and complete the challenge. Also accepted. The famous streamer told her fans that she had browsed Zihu, which is known for sharing budget-friendly content, and found pig feed to be the best option. A large bag of pig feed cost only 100 yuan (US$14) and was reportedly high in protein, low in fat and “healthier than eating takeaway”, so she decided to try it out for her fans. .
