Retired Supreme Court judge narrated an interesting story, why was he named ‘Tiger Shah’

MR Shah Known As Tiger Shah: MR Shah, the fourth senior most judge of the Supreme Court, retired on 15 May. Retired Justice Shah has shared an anecdote related to his Chief Justice Y Chandrachud. He told how he came to be called “Tiger Shah”. This anecdote goes back to when he had attended a conference in Russia with Chandrachud a few years ago.

Speaking to India Today, he said, “We had gone to Russia for a conference, where the Chief Justice had said that koi kaam tiger ko dega tiger kar dega”. He said that it was Chandrachud’s love, affection and respect for him. He told that he had no fight with anyone. He has always been ahead to help people.

Describing himself as down to earth, MR Shah said that he comes from Gujarat, where his culture is different. People always told him that ‘Mukesh Bhai, wherever you go, stay down to earth’. He always tried to stay down to earth and help people. Throughout his career, his power never let the memories of his old life fade away.

CJI had appreciated in the farewell ceremony

During the farewell function organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association, the CJI said that he used to call Justice Shah “Tiger Shah” every morning and said, “Aankh se door sahi, dil se kahan jaega, jaane waale tu humein bahut yaad aayega”. ” Appreciating Shah for his hardworking nature, the CJI said that Justice Shah is always ready for the challenge and even during the time of Kovid, when everyone was sitting in their homes, he was ready for every challenge.
