Rajendra Patel from BJP in the year 2003, Shivraj Singh Chauhan from BJP by poll in 2006, Shivraj Singh Chauhan from BJP in 2008, Shivraj Singh Chauhan from BJP in 2013 and Shivraj Singh Chauhan from BJP in 2018 also elected as MLA.

Difficult to penetrate CM’s stronghold
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the MLA from Budni assembly of Sehore home district. Since 2003, the Bharatiya Janata Party is in control of the Budni assembly. In the year 2003, Rajendra Singh Rajput was elected MLA, while since then CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been becoming MLA for four consecutive terms. To penetrate this stronghold of BJP, the main opposition party Congress is also trying its best, but is not able to differentiate. In the last 2018 elections, the Congress fielded former state Congress president Arun Yadav in front of CM Shivraj here, but he too had to face defeat. Congress has given a chance to local and outside leaders from here, but so far no success has been achieved.

Now Deepak Joshi is filling the car
Deepak Joshi, son of former Chief Minister Kailash Joshi, who joined Congress from BJP, is making a pitch to fight in the election field in front of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. On the day of taking Congress membership, Deepak Joshi told State Congress President Kamal Nath to give him ticket from Budni, he wants to contest elections in front of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Deepak Joshi while addressing the media said that he is his father self. Kailash wants to avenge Joshi’s insult.

Election results of the year 2018
In the 2018 assembly elections, four candidates tried their luck from Budni. Among them, Shivraj Singh Chauhan from BJP, while former MP Arun Yadav, a strong leader from the main opposition Congress, was in the fray. Shivraj Singh Chouhan got one lakh 23 thousand 492 votes in this election. While Arun Yadav of Congress got 64 thousand 493 votes. One thousand 683 votes were polled for BSP’s Sanjit Kumar, one thousand 386 for independent candidate Hemraj Pethari and one thousand 764 for NOTA. Two lakh four thousand 950 voters of Budni assembly had exercised their votes in this election. In the year 2018, there was 83 percent polling in Budni Assembly.
