Ajaz Khan Bail: The Supreme Court has granted bail to Ejaz Khan, who has been serving a jail sentence in the drugs case for two years. Ejaz was detained in 2021 by the Narcotics Control Bureau at Mumbai airport in a drug case. The NCB arrested him in March 2021 with 31 tablets of a drug called Alprazolam. Whose total weight was said to be 4.5 grams. After this he was sent to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. Now after spending two years in jail, the Supreme Court has released him on bail.
Family fighting case for 2 years
Ejaz Khan’s family was fighting the case for the release of the actor in the court for the last 2 years. In 2022, the Bombay High Court refused to grant bail to Ejaz. While rejecting the bail plea, the court had said, ‘Prima facie there are direct indications of Ejaz Khan’s involvement in the crime. It has also been found that money transactions were also done by Ejaz Khan, as a result of which illegal smuggling and drugs were purchased.
Will be released from jail at this time
Today, on May 19, Ejaz is going to be released from jail on bail. He will be released from Arthur Road Jail at 6.40 pm today. Ejaz’s family is very happy that he got bail. His wife says that this is a happy moment for the family.
Explain that Ejaz was taken into custody by the NCB on charges of involvement with drug peddlers Farooq Batata and his son Shadab Batata. It was alleged that Ejaz himself bought drugs from Shadab Batata and also consumed them. Apart from this, there were also allegations of selling drugs on the actor.
