Abhishek Banerjee’s appeal was rejected by the court

In fact, Abhishek Banerjee was questioned about the letter of teacher recruitment scam accused Kuntal Ghosh in which Kuntal had accused the CBI of pressurizing him to name Abhishek. Last week, Abhishek Banerjee had also appealed for interim bail in the Calcutta High Court to avoid CBI inquiry, but the court not only rejected his appeal but also imposed a fine of Rs 25 lakh for wasting time.

If the BJP is calling it a victory of truth, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is furious. CM Mamta wrote on Twitter, CBI summons has been sent to Abhishek to stop the party’s public relations tour.
