Randeep Hooda Lost 26 Kgs For Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, Had ‘1 Khajoor And 1 Glass Of Milk’

New Delhi: The teaser of Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ was released on Sunday. Randeep, who is also making his directorial debut with the film, plays Veer Savarkar in the film. The actor lost 26 kg for the role as several of his scenes were shot in a prison.

The film’s producer Anand Pandit spoke about Randeep’s commitment to the role in a conversation with ETimes. He said that the actor used to eat one date and one glass of milk during the shoot.

The film is produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Randeep Hooda Films and is slated to release this year.

During the launch of the teaser, Randeep had said, “Savarkar led an incredible life, and as I learned more about him while researching for my film, I have come to admire him tremendously. So it gives me immense pleasure to share a sneak peek.” into our film on his 140th birthday.”

The film, also starring Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial, is slated to release in cinemas this year.

This is not the first time Randeep Hooda had undergone a drastic transformation for a film. For the 2016 film ‘Sarabjit’ the actor had lost 20kg in 28 days.
