Delhi News: With the rise in temperature in Delhi, the drinking water crisis is deepening in many areas. Apart from this, due to supply of dirty water, people are also seen very upset. To overcome these problems, work is going on by the Delhi Jal Board on a continuous supply of clean water and a better method of cleaning contaminated water. In this episode, a contamination free drive will be run in every ward of the assembly constituencies of Delhi. It has already started in many wards of Delhi. Deputy Chairman of Delhi Jal Board Somnath Bharti along with officials reached Hauz Khas in the morning and collected samples and got them tested. Delhi Jal Board got good results in the collected samples. Enthused by this, the Jal Board officials have decided to run a special campaign in every ward of Delhi.
Delhi Jal Board’s Vice Chairman Somnath Bharti has started Contamination Free Drive to provide clean water to every household in Delhi by adopting zero tolerance policy. During this, samples were collected from 35 places in Delhi’s Hauz Khas ward, in which samples from 31 places were found to be correct. That is, drinking water in these areas is drinkable. Similarly, a Contamination Free Drive campaign will be launched in every assembly ward of Delhi. The team of Delhi Jal Board will collect ward-wise samples at the time of water supply in the morning to find out whether the water of the area is fit for drinking and supply or not. Somnath Bharti, vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board, has given clear instructions to the officials that samples should be collected from almost all areas of Delhi and tested.
Water supply will remain stalled in these areas
Water supply service will be affected for 18 hours from June 3 to 4 due to repair work in Delhi’s Holambi Kala area, including Bakhtawarpur, Jhingola, Sindhu, Akbarpur Majra, Alipur, Jindpur, Khampur, Hamidpur village, Holambi Kala, Kheda Kalan , Naya Bans, Narela Industrial Area including many areas are included. The people of the areas have been instructed by the Delhi Jal Board to reserve excess water. Apart from this, a helpline number has also been issued for water supply through tanker facility. Calling on the helpline number, people can get water tankers from DJB.
