Another accident in Odisha, several coaches of goods train derailed

Odisha Goods Train Derailed: Another rail accident has happened in Odisha today (June 5). There is news of derailment of several coaches of goods train in Bargarh of the state. This train accident happened three days after the painful train accident in Balasore.

According to the information received so far, a goods train has met with an accident on the ACC railway track near Samardhara in Bargarh district of Odisha. The train has derailed near Medapalli. This goods train is going from Dungri limestone mine in the district towards Bargarh.

That’s why the train accident happened

It is being said that due to the bursting of the wheel, 5 containers of the train overturned. No information has been received so far about anyone being injured in this incident. The accident happened while transporting limestone to the ACC Cement factory in Bargarh.

No effect on operation of main line

The accident took place on the private track laid inside the ACC Cement Plant near Bargarh, which is a private siding, which is not operated by the Railways. It is a narrow gauge line owned by Bargarh Cement Works. Due to private siding, this line is not maintained by the Railways. After the accident, the operation of trains on the main line has not been affected.

275 died in the accident 3 days ago

Earlier, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express and a goods train collided with each other near Bahanaga Bazar station in Odisha’s Balasore at around 7 pm on Friday. Officials said that the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express train was running at a speed of 126 kmph. The Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express also came under the grip of this accident. At least 275 people have died in this accident.
