Steam leakage at Tata Steel power plant in Odisha, several employees hospitalized

Tata Steel Steam Leak: Steam has leaked at the Tata Steel power plant at Meramundli in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. Many employees have been admitted to a hospital in Cuttack. According to a Money Control report, at least 19 people were injured in the blast.

It is being told that this incident happened on Tuesday (June 13) at 1 pm during the inspection work. According to ANI, Tata Steel in a statement said, “We are saddened by the news of the accident at BFPP2 power plant due to steam release at Tata Steel Meramandali Works in Dhenkanal, Odisha. Affected some people doing the same, who were immediately taken to the hospital.”

The company will investigate the accident
The company said that the plant premises have been cordoned off and emergency services have been activated. Tata Steel said it has contacted the family members of the affected employees and is helping them. He said that the company is ascertaining the cause of the accident. Due to this, an internal inquiry will be started.
