Realme data collections: A big news has come out about China’s smartphone company Realme. The company has been accused of stealing a user’s data without his permission. A Twitter user named Rishi Bagri shared a video saying that the company turns on a setting in the smartphone by default and in the name of better service, this setting gives the company access from phone number to gallery.
Rishi Bagri also tagged Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the state electronics and information technology minister, in his tweet. He told in the tweet that a feature called Enhanced Intelligent Services is available in Realme’s mobile. This feature is on by default in the smartphone. With this, the company also gets access to the user’s gallery and microphone. The user said that this setting steals the user’s data.
Responding to Bagri’s tweet, Minister of State Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that Meity has been ordered to investigate the matter. Many users have raised questions on the company’s policy and features by tweeting on this tweet. Some users also shared screenshots of the OnePlus smartphone, in which the Enhanced Intelligent Service feature was also shown. At present, there is no comment from Realme regarding the Enhanced Intelligent Service setting.
Turn off this setting like this
- To turn off Enhanced Intelligent Service, first go to your phone’s Settings.
- Now you have to search Additional setting in the search bar, now tap on it.
- In additional setting you have to go to the option of system service section.
- Now you will see the feature of Enhanced Intelligent Service.
- This feature will be on by default, you can turn it off by tapping on it.
