News Delhi Crime news: The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police has arrested two such vicious thugs, who were cheating crores of rupees in the name of selling farm houses. The police claim that both of them have cheated another real estate website of Rs 4.85 crore in the name of selling Amavas.
Not only this, there are already 7 cases registered against these two in different police stations of Delhi, which are related to ‘Dhoka Ghari’. The names of the accused are Gunveen Singh and Jitin Pal Singh, both are brother-in-law and are residents of Punjab. Years ago both had come to Delhi. Both were doing property work here and were running the business of cheating under the guise of this.
Fraud in the name of selling farm house
EOW’s DCP Vikram Porwal told that this case of cheating is about cheating in the name of selling farm house. Chhatarpur resident Yogesh Tyagi gave a complaint to the EOW that Gunveen Singh and Jitin Pal Singh along with others had cheated. Yogesh Tyagi told the police that these people had shown him a farm house in DLF Chhatarpur Farms. This farm house was in the name of Ahuja Farms.
Tyagi said that both the accused claimed that they had an agreement to sell. Tyagi gave Rs 2 crore 80 lakh to these people in the name of this farmhouse, but later it came to know that a case is going on in the court on that property. After this, both the brother-in-law offered another farmhouse in the same area to Yogesh Tyagi.
The secret was revealed after seeing the advertisement
The accused also introduced Tyagi to Ajay Sahni and Ram Sahni, the two sons of the owner of that farmhouse. Both said that this property is in the name of their father and soon it is going to be transferred in their name. This time Tyagi gave another 2 crore 5 lakh rupees but after some time an advertisement was given in the newspaper on behalf of Ajay Sahni and Ram Sahni which was related to the same farm house.
This advertisement was published in the name of the farmhouse for which Tyagi had given Rs 2 crore 5 lakh. It was published in the advertisement that he has not made any deal or agreement with anyone regarding the said farm house. After this, Yogesh Tyagi complained about this matter to the police. The EOW started investigating this complaint and all the documents and other information related to the bank and the property were collected. After which the FIR was registered.
Police was searching since 2022
This pair of brother-in-law and brother-in-law was being searched since November 2022. Both were living in different apartments of Gurugram. Both have been arrested. DCP Vikram Porwal has appealed to the public that whenever you want to buy a property, you must collect the information about that property from the concerned department, so that no one can cheat or cheat you.
