‘Nuclear-agreement’ happened in Pakistan-China, PM Shahbaz gave a big statement

Pakistan China Nuclear Energy Deal: There is a nuclear agreement between China and Pakistan, India’s two neighboring countries armed with nuclear weapons. This agreement is for the 1200 MW Chashma-5 (C-5) nuclear power project, the cost of which is said to be $3.48 billion. The agreement for the project was signed by Power Muhammad Saeed ur Rehman, chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation Overseas Limited (CNOS) and member of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in the presence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that this nuclear power project is an important step towards economic cooperation between the two countries. He said that in the midst of the country’s economic crisis, the investment of $ 3.48 billion from China in this project has given a clear message that Pakistan is a place where the performance of Chinese companies and investors continues. According to the report, there was talk about this project in both the countries in 2017-18, later it went in cold storage. Now the Chinese government has also given a rebate of about 30 billion rupees to Pakistan.

Boasting of deep friendship with China, Shehbaz Sharif said, “This agreement shows that our friendship is higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the deep sea, sweeter than sugar and honey, stronger than iron and steel.” Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping had addressed Pakistan and China as ‘Iron Brothers’. Now, on social media, Chinese and Pakistani people often describe Pakistan-China friendship as higher or firmer than the Himalayas.

A K-3 nuclear project deal was also signed between the two countries in Karachi, which was inaugurated recently. At the same time, on Tuesday, June 20, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Chashma-5 (C-5) nuclear power project.
