Ducati Panigale V4R: Luxury two-wheeler manufacturer Ducati has launched its most powerful and prestigious motorcycle full-carbon fiber Superleggera Panigale in the country. The ex-showroom price of this bike has been kept at Rs 69.9 lakh. The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4R comes with a smaller 998cc V4 engine as compared to the 1103cc engine of the regular Panigale V4. All this has been launched in the 1000cc capacity segment as per WSBK specifications. This is the first time that the V4R engine has been put on sale in India since 2019 and it is also the first time that the bike has come to India in Euro 5/BS6 compliant form.
very powerful engine
Called the Desmosedici Stradale R, this manic engine can now reach 16,500 rpm in sixth gear and 16,000 rpm in the other five. The company claims it to get a maximum power output of 218hp at 15,500rpm, which is more than any bike till now. However, if you opt for the titanium, track-only full-system Akrapovic exhaust model, the power goes up to 237 hp. But you can get up to 240.5hp of power by using specially formulated engine oil for the same.
suspension
It uses the same aluminum front frame as the new Panigale V4, but the suspension now gets manual control. It has NPX25/30 shock absorbers at the front and TTX36 shock absorbers at the rear. The Brembo Stylema brakes and forged aluminum wheels are similar to the Panigale V4 S. The bike weighs 193.5 kg, which is similar to the BMW S 1000 RR Pro M Sport. With the optional race exhaust, the curb weight comes down to 188.5 kg.
Price
The V4R gets Desmosedici Stradale power mode, a new Trac Evo display for the TFT dashboard and an updated traction control system. Now dedicated engine mapping has been done for each gear. It will be brought as a CBU unit. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 69.9 lakh. The company says that five units have arrived in India, and all of them have already been sold.
Will compete with the BMW S 1000 RR
BMW S 1000 RR gets 999 cc BS6 engine, which generates power of 206.51 bhp and torque of 113 Nm. Anti-locking braking system is available with both front and rear disc brakes.
