Bangladesh Allegation: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) General Secretary Mirza Islam Alamgir has accused the media around the world of spreading propaganda. Addressing India, he said that ‘a kind of misunderstanding and very unfortunate propaganda is being carried out by various media at the national and global level and especially in your country – the media is promoting communal atrocities.’
He said that what is happening in Bangladesh is not true at all. This is not communal, not religious. This is completely a political issue. He invited the Indian media to come to Dhaka and see for themselves what has happened in Bangladesh.
