Friendship will be in danger! Bangladesh warns India on Sheikh Hasina’s statement

Bangladesh Violence: A new interim government has been formed in Bangladesh after the coup of Sheikh Hasina. Referring to the recent statements of former PM Sheikh Hasina, the interim government of Bangladesh has given a message to the Indian High Commissioner. In which Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauhid Hussain told Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma on Wednesday (August 14) that such statements of the former Prime Minister coming from India are not good for promoting better bilateral relations.

According to the Dhaka Tribune report, the Ministry of External Affairs gave this information in a statement after a courtesy call on the Indian High Commissioner on Wednesday (August 13). In fact, after taking refuge in India recently, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina had given a statement that the US was behind the student protests in Bangladesh, due to which she had to leave the post of Prime Minister on August 5.

Sheikh Hasina’s son had rejected the statement

However, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, rejected such a statement. At the same time, Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauheed Hussain has emphasized on more “people-centric participation” with India in the coming days. Bangladesh Foreign Ministry said that he has especially emphasized on some major issues like stopping killings on the Bangladesh border, completing the Teesta water sharing agreement and ensuring the supply of essential goods.

Know on which issues Mohammad Tauheed Hussain discussed with the Indian High Commissioner?

During this, Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauheed Hussain mentioned the propaganda being run by the media about the incidents happening against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He said that Bangladesh wants to work together with India to promote bilateral relations. During the meeting, the advisor informed the High Commissioner about the current situation in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh witnessed its second independence due to the mass revolt led by students

Mohammad Touhid Hossain said Bangladesh witnessed its second independence through the student-led mass uprising last week, in which the voice of students and the public emerged victorious against oppressive forces seeking to end inequalities. “The student movement against the discriminatory public service recruitment process soon turned into a revolutionary struggle,” he told Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma.

Preparations are on to bring law and order and economy back on track

Foreign Affairs Advisor Mohammad Tauheed Hussain said that Nobel Prize winner Dr. Muhammad Yunus has agreed to take charge of the interim government on the request of students and people. The advisor said that the biggest challenge before this interim government is to bring the deteriorating law and order and economy of the country back on track. However, the government is working specially on the issues of the people and especially the youth.

Any kind of violence against minorities will not be tolerated

Mohammad Tauheed Hussain said that the government is ready to create an environment for conducting free and fair elections in the country in the coming days. He said that the government is ensuring the safety of all religious and ethnic groups. Along with this, any kind of violence or threat against them will not be tolerated. He said that all religious groups and other political parties are also working for the safety of minorities.
