Delhi Metro Timing on India Independence Day: On the 78th Independence Day, Delhi Metro has made special preparations for the passengers. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start services on all lines from 4 am on August 15. The decision to run the metro from 4 am was taken in view of the Independence Day celebrations to be held at the Red Fort. Metro services will be available at an interval of 15 minutes till 6 am tomorrow.
After 6 am, metro train services will be available to passengers as per the normal time table. Passengers who have passes issued by the Ministry of Defence to participate in the Independence Day celebrations will be allowed entry and travel on production of valid government identity cards. Such arrangements will be valid only for exit at Lal Qila, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk metro stations, which are closest to the venue. These passes will also be valid for return journey from these three stations only. Regular announcements are also being made in the metro to inform passengers about the changes.

In view of the trend of kite flying on Independence Day and Rakshabandhan, DMRC has also issued an advisory. The advisory says that people should not play with safety by flying kites near metro lines. Doing so can be risky for them and can also cause disruption of metro services.
To ensure the safety of metro passengers and uninterrupted services, DMRC has advised people to enjoy kite flying in open spaces away from metro lines. Please note that in Delhi-NCR, there is a ban on kite flying in open spaces. Independence Day And kite flying is done with great enthusiasm on the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
