Chhatarpur Violence: The statement of Haji Shahzad Ali, the main accused of Chhatarpur violence, is going viral on social media. He has demanded an impartial investigation of the case from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. According to Haji Shahzad Ali, Giriraj Mahant had insulted the Prophet. Anjuman Sadar, Anjuman Sadar Committee, Ulema Committee and the public had gone to submit a memorandum in protest against the objectionable statement. People were demanding the police to register a case against Giriraj Mahant.

According to Shahzad Ali, we had to wait for the TI for an hour. He said, “We reached there after getting the call. SDM, Deputy Collector and other officers were present on the spot. The officers know me well. Our organisation has been doing social service for the last 14-15 years. We work closely with the government administration. It has never happened in the procession that anyone has pelted stones. I have also submitted memorandums during my tenure as Sadar.”

The police and the TI were also pelting stones. This is the first such incident which has spoiled the atmosphere in Chhatarpur. Such an incident has never happened in our city till date. We help all sections of society. We meet the officers and get the work of all Hindus and Muslims done.”

Haji Shahzad Ali said that the truth of the incident has not reached the Chief Minister. He said, “The police administration misled me. Anti-social elements have carried out the incident.” He demanded an impartial inquiry into the violence from the Chief Minister. Let us tell you that four days ago, stones were pelted at the police station over an objectionable statement.

In the stone pelting, police station in-charge Arvind Kunjar, constable Bhupendra Kumar and ASP’s gunman Rajendra Chadhar have been injured. Among the injured, the condition of TI Arvind Kunjar is said to be critical. His treatment is going on in the ICU. After the incident, the police and administration are on alert mode. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had given instructions for strict action. On Thursday, the police ran a bulldozer on the luxurious mansion built at the cost of crores of rupees of Congress leader Haji Shahzad Ali. Even three luxury cars including a Fortuner parked in the mansion were not spared.
