PM Modi’s Ukraine Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi He returned to India on Saturday (24 August) after completing his Europe trip. He went on a two-day visit to Poland and a one-day visit to Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ukraine has been the most discussed, as it was the first visit of an Indian PM to this country after India got independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has attacked the central government over this visit of PM Modi.

In fact, after completing his visit to Ukraine, PM Modi has shared a video on the social media platform X, in which he is meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the capital Kiev. He is meeting the Indian community living there. This 3.46 minute video has been shared as a short documentary. Along with this, PM Modi has written in the caption, “Highlights of a very special visit to Ukraine, a valuable friend of India.”

At the same time, former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has questioned the foreign policy of the Modi government and attacked it over this video. In response to the video, Swamy said, “Please wake up. If Ukraine is a valuable friend, then tell the dictator in Moscow to remove Russian troops from the areas of Ukraine. Ukraine is a democracy, which must be protected.” Swamy was calling Russian President Vladimir Putin a dictator, whom Western countries also call the same.

PM Modi appeals to Russia and Ukraine to sit and talk

While talking to the media, PM Modi, who was on a visit to Ukraine, said that both the parties should sit together and find a way out of this crisis. He said that we are ready to play an active role in the efforts being made for peace. The PM said that if I can personally contribute to this, I would definitely like to do so. As a friend, I assure you of this. Even before going to Ukraine, PM Modi had said that he hopes peace will return there soon.
