Names of eight railway stations of Amethi changed, Akhilesh said- think about preventing rail accidents too

Amethi Railway Station Rename News: The UP government has changed the names of many places during its tenure so far. This was also discussed in the country. Now the names of some railway stations in Amethi district have been changed. However, this decision has not been taken by the UP government but by the Railway Ministry. SP President Akhilesh Yadav has taken a dig at this.

Smriti Irani wrote the letter

The Railway Department has approved the change of names of eight major railway stations of Amethi district. These eight railway stations have been named after local mythological sites and great men. Former Union Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani had sent a letter to the Railway Minister requesting to change the names of these stations.

Which stations have changed their names?

The Northern Railway has issued an order regarding the name change on Tuesday (27 August). The eight stations in Amethi that have been renamed are Kasimpur Halt Railway Station, which will now be known as Jayes City Railway Station.

The name of Jais railway station has been changed to Guru Gorakhnath Dham. The Bani railway station has been renamed as Swami Paramhans. The name of Nihalgarh railway station has now been changed to Maharaja Bijli Pasi.

Apart from these, Akbarganj railway station has been renamed as Maa Ahorva Bhavani Dham. Warisganj railway station has been renamed as Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan and Fursatganj railway station has been renamed as Tapeshwarnath Dham.

On this, SP President Akhilesh Yadav wrote on Twitter, “The BJP government is requested to change not just the names of railway stations but also their conditions. … And when you get free time from changing names, then take out some time and think about preventing record-breaking rail accidents.”
