UP By-Election 2024: After not getting the desired results in the Lok Sabha elections, UP Chief Minister Yogi is busy preparing the ground for the by-elections. After meeting the public representatives of all the districts, he has now started visiting the districts. Political experts say that the CM has started trying to win the by-elections through development, dialogue and togetherness. He has made employment fairs in the districts a means to win over the youth.
So far, employment fairs were organised in Ambedkarnagar on 17th August, in Ayodhya on 18th August and in Muzaffarnagar on 22nd August, through which more than 17 thousand appointment letters were distributed. According to the department, while more than 12 thousand appointment letters were distributed in Ayodhya and Ambedkarnagar, more than 15 thousand employment opportunities have been provided in Muzaffarnagar. While more than 5 thousand appointment letters have been distributed.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Agarwal said that the state government organizes various activities to provide employment to the trainees receiving training under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Under the district level employment fair in Ambedkar Nagar, CM Yogi distributed appointment letters to 6572 youth, while in the employment fair organized in Ayodhya, appointment letters were handed over to 5574 people. Similarly, on-the-spot appointment letters were also distributed to 5 thousand youth in Muzaffarnagar.
He informed that a job fair was organized in Mainpuri on 27th August. Job fairs are proposed in Mirzapur and Moradabad. Around 30 thousand employment opportunities will be provided through this. In Muzaffarnagar, the Chief Minister inaugurated various development projects worth about 158 crore 65 lakh and laid the foundation stone of projects worth about 157 crore 72 lakh.
CM Yogi busy in wooing the youth
Political expert Virendra Singh Rawat says that one of the major reasons for BJP not getting the desired results in the Lok Sabha elections was employment. This was made an issue by the opposition parties. For this reason, Chief Minister Yogi is busy organizing employment fairs and giving gifts of development projects in the districts where elections are being held to attract the youth. This can also be beneficial. There is a large number of youth in the districts. They are also voters. BJP is trying to take advantage of this.
CM Yogi deployed an army of ministers in the by-election
He told that the Chief Minister has already deployed an army of ministers in the districts where by-elections are to be held. They are gauging the mood of the people. After this, the Chief Minister is reaching out to the people by making a strategy on that basis. At present, the stage is being prepared for employment fairs and development projects. The Chief Minister has already visited many districts.
By-elections are to be held on these seats of UP
It is known that by-elections are to be held in Ghaziabad, Khair, Meerapur, Kundarki, Karhal, Katehari, Milkipur, Sisamau, Majhawan and Phulpur seats. Out of these, nine seats have become vacant due to MLAs becoming MPs. One seat has become vacant due to SP MLA Irfan Solanki being convicted. BJP is more worried about these ten seats because Lok Sabha Elections During this, BJP was trailing in five out of nine seats.
