Preeti Pal Wins Bronze Medal Paris Paralympics 2024: Preeti Pal has created history by winning a bronze medal at the Paralympics 2024. She has won the medal in the women’s 100m T35 category race. This is the third medal won by India on 30 August. Preeti has also created history as she has become the first Indian athlete to win a medal in a track event at the Paralympic Games.
In the final of the T35 category women’s 100 meter race, India’s Preeti Pal finished the race in 14.21 seconds and secured the third position. The first and second positions were secured by Chinese runners. China’s Jia (13.35 seconds) and Guo won the silver medal by finishing the race in 13.74 seconds.
Let us tell you that Preeti Pal had secured a place in the final of Paris Olympics by winning the bronze medal in the World Para Athletics Championship 2024 held in Kobe this year. Although Preeti was deprived of winning any medal in the Para Asian Games last year, but now she has brought happiness to 140 crore Indians by winning the bronze medal.
Three medals came within 90 minutes
India had made a great start in the Paralympics on 29 August, but India’s first, second and now third medal in the medal tally came on 30 August. Before Preeti, Avni Lekhara and Mona Agarwal have won gold and bronze medals respectively in shooting.
In the women’s 10 meter air rifle competition, Avni Lekhara created history by defending the gold medal of Tokyo Paralympics and winning gold in Paris Paralympic Games as well. On the other hand, Mona Agarwal shared the podium with Avni by winning the bronze medal. Now Preeti Pal has benefited India in the medal table by winning the bronze medal. India has now come to 11th position in the medal table with 1 gold and 2 bronze.
