What is Stockholm Syndrome?
Stockholm syndrome is a medical condition in which a person starts sympathizing and loving the person who kidnaps him, torments him, holds him hostage or dominates him. You must be wondering how one can love and be attached to the person who is kidnapping him. But this is true, in fact, in this mental state, a person gets emotionally attached to his kidnapper, so much so that he starts loving him and wants to live with him.

If we look closely, this medical condition can apply to both the kidnapper and the kidnapped person. Sometimes the kidnapper develops an attachment to the captive and sometimes the captive develops an attachment to the kidnapper. This happens when the kidnapper keeps the captive alive and takes proper care of him instead of killing or harassing him.
