Does a heart attack come without warning and does it not give time to recover? Know the truth

Heart Attack Myths : Heart attack remains a challenge for the whole world. Cases of heart attack are increasing rapidly in India too. Especially the youth are getting more vulnerable to it. The main reason for this is bad lifestyle and poor eating habits. Due to this the heart is not able to become strong. Apart from this, factors like pollution are also responsible for this. However, there are many misconceptions about heart attack. One of which is that heart attack always comes suddenly, there are no signs of it. Know the truth of this…

Myth: Heart attack comes without any warning

Fact Cardiologists say that this is not true, heart attack does not come suddenly. Its symptoms start appearing 3-4 days in advance. If you feel uneasy, feel weak even after walking a step or your heart beat becomes fast, then you should immediately consult a doctor. Apart from this, chest pain, pain in the left hand or arm can also be signs of heart attack. However, no symptoms are seen in silent heart attack. Therefore, one should remain alert.

Myth: Any kind of chest pain is a sign of a heart attack

Fact According to experts, chest pain or discomfort is a common symptom, but it is not the only sign of heart disease. Shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness or pain in the back, arms and neck can also be symptoms of a heart attack.

Myth: If you are taking cholesterol-lowering medicines, then eating anything does not reduce the risk of heart attack

Fact : Medicines like statins are taken to control cholesterol but this does not mean that you eat anything unhealthy. You should always eat whole grains, fruits, vegetables and things rich in lean protein so that the heart remains healthy.
