Balochistan: The series of targeting civilians in Pakistan’s Balochistan province is not stopping. According to a Hindustan Times report, on last Sunday (September 1) too, terrorists of the Baloch Liberation Army carried out attacks in the Balochistan region.
According to the report, about 40 people were killed in the month of August. It is reported that the rebels of Balochistan have pushed back the Pakistani army. Pakistan, which is said to be a safe haven for terrorists, is now scared of the terrorist attacks on its soil. It is said that many attacks have been carried out in the last two months.
How many attacks took place?
According to the Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), terrorist attacks are continuing in Pakistan. In August 2024, a total of 59 terrorist attacks took place in which 84 people lost their lives, while in the previous month i.e. July, 38 such attacks took place. Continuous attacks are being carried out in Musakhail and Kalat districts.
Three security personnel died
The United Nations Security and Safety Department said that the United Baloch Army (UBA) opened fire on a security force patrol in Nemoragh in Kalat district and three security personnel were killed in the fierce attack. However, Pakistani officials have not confirmed this. At the same time, the Balochistan Liberation Front attacked a security forces post in Turbat district with a grenade. In fact, despite being resource-rich, Balochistan province is facing economic marginalization and local grievances continue to grow in the region.
