Asaram gets relief from Rajasthan High Court, gets 5 more days parole for treatment

Rajasthan News: Asaram, who is serving life sentence in a sexual abuse case, has got 5 more days parole for treatment. Rajasthan High Court had given 7 days parole for treatment. Now the parole has been extended for 5 more days. Let us tell you that Asaram is being treated at Madhobagh Hospital in Khopali, Maharashtra. The High Court heard the parole extension petition filed by Asaram. On the basis of the report, the judge ordered to extend the parole for 5 more days.

For the first time, he got interim parole on 13th August for treatment. The High Court has also imposed many restrictions on Asaram in the interim parole order. Asaram is not allowed to meet anyone except his assistant and doctor. After the parole application was approved, Asaram was taken to Maharashtra from Jodhpur Central Jail by flight. Doctors of Madhavbagh Hospital are treating Asaram. It is said that self-proclaimed Baba Asaram has a heart disease. A team of armed soldiers has also been sent with Asaram.

Asaram is undergoing treatment in Maharashtra

In Jodhpur Central Jail, Asaram had to pay a bond of Rs. 50,000 and separate sureties of Rs. 25,000 each. On the orders of the High Court, the parole period is being counted from the time of reaching Khapoli. The time of travel and return is not included in the parole. It is worth mentioning that a zero number FIR was registered against Asaram in Delhi on 20 August. The FIR was transferred from Kamla Nagar police station to Jodhpur Police Commissionerate West. The Jodhpur Police team took action and arrested Asaram from his ashram in Chhindwara on 31 August 2013. Asaram’s sentence was announced in Central Jail on 25 April 2018.
