‘Modi did not hug’, Pak expert told the motive behind calling Maldivian President

Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu Prime Minister on Monday (October 7, 2024) Narendra Modi Met with. Pakistan expert Qamar Cheema says that PM Modi shook hands with Muizzu, but did not hug him. He said that this shows the displeasure of PM Modi. PM Modi has not forgotten the way Mohammad Muizzu ran a campaign against India, his ministers made wrong statements and adopted a tough stance for the withdrawal of Indian troops.

Qamar Cheema also claims that Mohammad Muizzu’s visit to India was influenced by Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is planning. He said that India wants to keep the small countries around it together. Pak expert Qamar Cheema further said, ‘I think Muizzu will be the only leader who has not been embraced by PM Modi. PM Modi not hugging Muizzu shows that he is telling him that he has not forgotten what happened earlier. On one side, India Out campaign was run and now Muizzu Saheb has reached India.

Qamar Cheema says that he feels that all this planning that has been done to bring Mohammed Muizzu closer is behind it, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is. He said, ‘I think India First campaign has started with India Out. A country with a population of 5 lakh and a 5 day visit. Why is India investing so much, only because of China?

He further said that this is completely Dr. Jaishankar’s model. He went to Maldives three months ago. He must have told PM Modi to call Muizzu. Qamar Cheema claims that S. Jaishankar must have told PM Modi to call Muizzu and make him realize that we give you value.

He also said that after this move of India, India Out campaign and everything has changed. The thing to be seen is what are the expectations of Modi 3.0 regarding Maldives and secondly, how Mohammad Muizzu responds to what Jaishankar wants to do.

Qamar Cheema said, ‘I think that Jaishankar Saheb created a model that diplomacy, love and politics should work first. Otherwise there are other options available, but one should not go for that first. This is the reason why he has adopted the model of Pyaar Mohammad. Otherwise, what is the need to spend so much for a small country? The President of Maldives reached India on Sunday and is on a visit to India till October 10.
