Waiting for notification for UGC NET 2024 December session, when will it be released?

The result of the UGC NET 2024 June session examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) was declared recently. But now the candidates are waiting for the December session UGC NET notification. Notification for the December session was issued on September 30 last year, after which it is expected that the notification for UGC NET 2024 December session may be issued in the same month.

When will the notification of UGC NET 2024 December session be released?

UGC NET exam is conducted at the national level across the country and is conducted twice a year. The first session is held in June and the second session is held in December. The notification and registration process for the examination is done on the official website of National Testing Agency, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. According to media reports, the notification for UGC NET 2024 December session may be released by the end of this month, although no official date has been given by NTA yet.

Fees and Application Process for UGC NET Exam

As it happens every time, for applying, a fee of Rs 1150 will be charged from General and OBC candidates, whereas for SC, ST and Divyang category candidates, the application fee has been kept at Rs 600. Candidates can deposit this fee through online mode, like through net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI.

Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET 2024 December Session

Some educational qualifications have been prescribed for the candidates who want to appear in the UGC NET 2024 December session. General category candidates must have at least 55% marks in postgraduate degree. Whereas for OBC, SC and ST category candidates, this minimum marks has been fixed at 50%. If a candidate has completed postgraduate degree and has obtained the prescribed marks, then he/she can apply for this examination.

Now, all the candidates have their eyes on the notification of December session. On one hand, they are waiting for the application process to start, while on the other hand, they are busy in their preparations. To get success in UGC NET examination, candidates need to work hard and study in the right direction.

Therefore, those candidates who have decided to appear in the UGC NET exam in December this year, will have to apply immediately after the release of the official notification and put all their strength in preparing for the exam.
