RPI (A) chief Ramdas Athawale said, “The votes of Indians living in America, whether Hindu or Muslim, have gone to Trump. We are happy with his election but are also saddened by Kamala Harris’s defeat. It would have been good if Kamala Harris had been elected because she is of Indian origin and was the candidate of the Democratic Party. But with the election of Donald Trump as the 47th President of America, the relations between India and the US will become stronger.
