What is hormone replacement surgery?

Hormone replacement surgery is a procedure in which hormones are replaced in the body. In this process the gender of male or female is changed. The help of plastic surgery is also taken in this.

According to experts, this surgery is done only after 21 years. For children younger than this, parental permission is required. After initial investigation it is sent to the state department headquarters. Along with the application, reports of three national level psychiatrists and four gender change doctors have to be submitted. A copy of the Supreme Court’s decision related to this also has to be attached. For this, advice of a psychologist and a hormone expert is also required.

After getting permission, you can proceed for surgery. Men are given hormone therapy so that the level of female hormones in their body can increase. If a woman wants to change her gender then the process is the same for her.
