KL Rahul IPL 2025 Team: Which team will KL Rahul be a part of in IPL 2025 after his release from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). As the date of IPL 2025 mega auction is approaching, speculations are increasing that Rahul may move to RCB, where he started his IPL career in 2013. Now a media report has claimed that Royal Challengers Bangalore has already reserved a budget of Rs 30 crore to buy Rahul in the auction.
KL Rahul made his IPL debut in 2013 while playing for RCB. He played four seasons for Bengaluru, in which he scored 417 runs in 19 matches. RCB had bought Virat Kohli (21 crore), Rajat Patidar (11 crore) and Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore for IPL 2025. There is currently Rs 83 crore left in RCB’s purse and in such a situation it is being claimed that this team has prepared to bid up to Rs 30 crore for Rahul in the auction. According to the report, RCB franchise wants to bring Rahul with them at any cost.
Rahul has played finals with RCB
KL Rahul played for Royal Challengers Bangalore till 2016 and in the same season RCB reached the final of IPL. In 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad was in the title clash against Bengaluru. In that match, SRH, playing first, had scored a huge score of 208 runs. On the other hand, Bengaluru was able to reach only 200 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Virat Kohli scored 54 runs and Rahul scored 11 runs in that match.
Recently, remembering that final, Rahul said, “Virat Kohli and I have discussed the IPL 2016 final many times. If one of us had lasted a few more overs, we would have won the title. That was a very special year. We could have got a very memorable win at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, unfortunately it did not happen.” Rahul had scored 397 runs while playing 14 matches in IPL 2016.
