US long range missiles approved
Amid the attack, US President Joe Biden approved Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles (ATACMS) to strike inside Russia. This decision came when Russia tried to increase its military capacity by including thousands of North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. This is the first time the US has allowed the use of Western weapons inside Russian territory.
