Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “I appeal to the Central Government to intervene in this matter and strongly raise the issue of ensuring the safety of minorities with the Bangladesh Government.” Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested on Monday and produced in Chittagong court on Tuesday. From where he was sent to police custody. Das is accused of treason for allegedly hoisting the flag on the stand carrying the national flag of Bangladesh.

India’s statement on the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das
The country’s largest minority organization Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council (BHBCUC) has expressed concern over the arrest.
