But I saw that my son was being unfairly targeted and prosecuted. The allegations leveled against him were politically motivated so that he could attack me and oppose my electoral process.”
Biden further said, “I have followed a simple principle throughout my career: only tell the truth to the American people. It is true that I have full faith in the justice system, but when I struggled with it I felt that politics had infected the process as well. I hope the American people will understand why a father and a President took such a decision.”
