Yashasvi Jaiswal Mitchell Starc IND vs AUS: The first Test between India vs Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 was played in Perth, in which Team India registered a huge victory by 295 runs. In the same match, a funny incident happened between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mitchell Starc, where Jaiswal was seen saying that Starc was bowling very slowly. Now everyone’s eyes are on the second Test to be held in Adelaide, which is to be played with pink ball. But before that, a statement by Mitchell Starc has gone viral.
Mitchell Starc says that these days he does not pay much attention to who is bowling what on the field. In the Perth Test, on the ball on which Jaiswal tried to sledge Starc, Starc had bowled the ball at a speed of 141 km per hour. Despite this, India’s young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal addressed him as ‘slow ball’.
Mitchell Starc said, “I didn’t actually hear Jaiswal say that I was bowling at a slow pace. I don’t pay much attention to these things these days. I probably used to pay attention earlier, but now I ignore it.” He played a flick shot on one ball and I think he defended it and I asked where is the flick shot and he laughed.
This lethal Australian bowler showed respect to Yashasvi Jaiswal and said that he batted well in the second innings of the Perth Test. Starc believes that Jaiswal can work to take Indian cricket forward for a long time. Jaiswal was out on the score of zero in the first innings, but in the second innings he played a brilliant innings of 161 runs and contributed significantly to India’s victory.
