Bihar Politics: Himanta Biswa Sarma government of Assam has taken a big decision. The Assam government has banned beef in the entire state. A ban has been imposed on the sale and purchase of beef in hotels, restaurants and public places in Assam. Now after Assam, will beef be banned in Bihar? This question is because BJP, which is part of Nitish government, has demanded it. Bharatiya Janata Party is welcoming the decision of Assam government. Tension has increased in NDA on this issue. Both JDU and BJP parties are seen face to face.
BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul has demanded to ban beef in Bihar. He has also welcomed the decision of the Assam government. Bachaun told ABP News on Friday (06 December) that the faith of the people of Hindu community has been respected in Assam. Crores of people in Bihar have faith in mother cow. His murder is not justified in any way. This is why animal trafficking happens.
Bachaul further said that whoever sells beef in Bihar should be given the harshest punishment. It is sold openly. No one has the right to play with faith. This will spread tension in the society. Livestock Protection Act 1956 is there in Bihar, but it is not followed.
What did JDU say on this issue?
JDU MLC Khalid Anwar has given a big statement on this. Khalid Anwar told ABP News that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s thinking is negative. Ban on beef is not the agenda of NDA. There are Muslims and Christians in Assam whose diet is the same. What will those people do now? The decision of Assam government is not right. There will be no ban on beef in Bihar.
Khalid Anwar said that there are some people in Bihar BJP whose thinking is like that of the CM of Assam. The same people are demanding a ban here. We have been running the government in Bihar for 19 years. We never paid attention to such things. Can Himanta ban it in Goa, Manipur and Arunachal?
