UP News: A web series ‘Lawrence- A Gangster Story Web Series’ is being made on gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Sabarmati jail. Its trailer has also been released, meanwhile there has been a demand to ban this web series. A PIL has also been issued for this, in which it has been said that the gangster has been compared with Shaheed Bhagat Singh and this has hurt the sentiments of the patriots.
On the PIL filed to ban the web series on Lawrence Bishnoi, Lucknow lawyer Prashant Chaudhary said, “I saw the trailer of ‘Lawrence a Gangster’, in which a gangster has been compared to Shaheed Bhagat Singh. When I saw it So my sentiments got hurt. There would be many patriots like me whose sentiments would also be hurt if any director or producer is releasing such a web series or uploading its teaser on any platform. We should proceed with the disclaimer. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was a freedom fighter and the reason for me filing this PIL was that it should not be shown in a wrong light. .”
