Sun’s superflare is a serious threat to the Earth, the world can be destroyed, scientists make new discovery

Super Flares of the Sun : The earth is illuminated by sunlight. Heat is felt on the earth. Besides, Sun is the source of many other types of energy on Earth. But the Sun also emits waves of incredibly large energy, which can become a very serious problem for the Earth. They are called solar superflares.

Scientists all over the world are gradually studying it and becoming worried about it. Because earlier scientists thought that these events in the Sun happen approximately once in a thousand years. But recently they have come to know that these incidents happen frequently in space. Sun’s superflares are a matter of concern for us because we use many technologies like satellite, GPS and power grid. But a big solar flare can mess up all this at once. Now the question is, are we prepared for the problems caused by solar flares?

Solar flares are explosions of energy

Solar flares are explosions of energy that the Sun expels into open space. A minor solar flare can easily cause minor disruption to Earth. In which there may be disturbance in radio signal or GPS service. However, a solar superflare is extremely powerful. It will release millions of times more energy than a regular flare. Let us tell you that these explosions move at the speed of light, which may take only a few minutes to reach the Earth in space.

What problems can occur on Earth from solar superflare?

Small solar flares of the Sun cause many temporary problems on Earth. But a superflare can be extremely destructive. Which can destroy satellites in space and shut down power grids. Besides, it can also spoil the communication mediums around the world and this problem can last for several days, weeks or even months. Due to which problems can arise in people’s everyday life.

Revealed in new study

In a recent study by Dr. Valery Vasiliev published in Science in December 2024, he examined the data of more than 50 thousand stars. Those stars experience superflares about once in 100 years. This new discovery has created concern for scientists.
