Kaal Bani Neelkamal
The calm looking sea of Mumbai became the reason for many people yesterday, at 3.15 pm a group of 105 people set out for a trip to Elephanta, an island known for its historical carvings. But little did some of these people know that they would never return with the desire with which they had set out on a journey.
As soon as the boat reached Karanj, at 3.55 pm, the Navy’s training speed boat came from the front performing a stunt and hit Neelkamal so hard that a hole was created in the boat and water started filling up and the ferry sank into the sea. . Many families are among those who lost their lives due to the sinking of the boat.

A child died along with the Aher couple of Pimpalgaon in Nashik district, causing grief to the family. Rakesh Nana Aher of Pimpalgaon had gone to Mumbai with his wife and son for treatment two days ago. For the treatment of asthma, the passengers had gone to enjoy a sea safari by boat near the Gateway of India in Mumbai in the evening but in an unfortunate accident with a Navy speed boat, three members of the Aher family lost their lives.
The eyewitness who narrowly escaped this accident said while talking to ABP News, “My brother, whose name is Hansram Bhati, was traveling on this board along with four other members of the family. Four people were rescued but No one knows where Bhai Hansram is, even the police do not have my brother’s name in their list.
The witnesses who came there said that Hans Ram was also wearing a life saving jacket and perhaps he had climbed on some board but till now he has not been found. Hansram used to work in imitation jewellery. He is a resident of Mumbai and had gone for a walk yesterday. Jogaram Bhati is now going to the police and Navy with his brother’s photo.

The second eyewitness Devanand Waghchaure spoke to ABP News and told that his very close friend is Deepchand Waghchaure who used to work as a state agent. He died in this accident. Deepchand’s family said that his phone was not working. After which we started searching for them. The boat accident was continuously being shown on the news, after which we thought that let’s search there also, we came to Colaba Police Station and inquired about him here too but his name was not there anywhere.
His name was not mentioned anywhere in the list of those who were rescued and also in the list of those who died. We waited for some time and then received a news that there is a body which has not been identified in JJ Hospital, Mumbai. We went there to find out and found out that the post-mortem of that body was going on.
After the post-mortem was over, when we were shown the body, we were shocked and heartbroken. Because that was my friend Deepchand. Deepchand has a daughter, a son and a wife in his house and this family is not financially strong. There is a demand from the government that the family will not be able to run with Rs 5 lakh, the future of the children will not be improved, in such a situation, due to the government’s mistake, this Because of the accident, the children should be given jobs by the government so that they can secure their future. Train officer was not on the boat
Responsibility is being put on the Navy in this entire matter, but the Navy issued an official statement saying that due to loss of control during the engine trial, Neelkamal got hit hard and an accident occurred. But the question arises that why was the Navy’s boat training taking place in such a public boat parking lot and why was no trained training officer present on the boat?
life jacket mandatory
However, after this entire incident, the picture of the ferry going through the Gateway of India has changed. After the accident, now all the ferries are making the journey by arranging queues and wearing life jackets compulsorily. But in this entire accident, the fault also lies with the personnel of Neelkamal Boat on the Navy’s speed boat, who had boarded more passengers than the capacity of the boat and who were not even getting life jackets when the time came.
