All madrasas of Uttarakhand will be verified, illegal funding will be investigated, CM Dhami gave orders.

Uttarakhand News: On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the police and district administration have become active regarding illegal madrassas running in Uttarakhand and their funding. The Chief Minister has ordered to verify all the madrassas in the state and investigate the activities taking place in them. For this, special committees have been formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate, which will submit their report within a month.

Uttarakhand Police spokesperson and IG Dr. Nilesh Anand Bharne said that the verification and funding of madrassas will be investigated. It will also be seen whether children from outside states or foreigners are being taught in madrassas. He said that this step has been taken so that any kind of illegal activities can be stopped.

All mosques running in the state will be investigated
For this, a special committee has been formed in the districts under the chairmanship of DM. Officials from police, education department, madrassa board and other related departments have been included in this committee. The committee will investigate all the madrasas and submit its report to the government within a month. Chairman of Uttarakhand Madrasa Board, Mufti Shamoon Qasmi said that a total of 416 madrasas in the state are recognized by the Madrasa Board. However, there are many madrasas in the state which are running without recognition. The Madrasa Board has given instructions to identify and verify such madrasas.

Action will be taken against those running madrassas without recognition
He said, “The number of madrassas recognized by the board is 416, while many madrassas have applied for recognition. They will be given recognition only after scrutiny of these applications. At the same time, action will be taken against those madrassas which are running without recognition. “Strict action will be taken.” Mufti Qasmi also said that the Madrasa Board is investigating the funding received by Madrasas. He said, “Wherever any kind of illegal funding or wrong activities are found, strict action will be taken.”

All madrassas across the state will be verified
