The star, who made a place in the hearts of fans with his brilliant acting, also dominated the world of politics with his victory and started a new innings as a public representative.

The names of Kangana Ranaut, Arun Govil, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini, Ravi Kishan, Suresh Gopi, Pawan Kalyan are included in the list of stars who have won in politics. Smriti Irani also tried her luck, but she had to face defeat.

Kangana Ranaut: Film industry’s ‘queen’ Kangana Ranaut, who contested for the first time in the Lok Sabha elections held this year, won a landslide victory. The actress had contested the elections from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh on BJP ticket.

Arun Govil: BJP had also given ticket to ‘Ram’ Arun Govil of ‘Ramayana’ from Meerut. Govil, who contested the election for the first time, won and reached Parliament.

Suresh Gopi: This year was also very special for South Indian actor Suresh Gopi. On the strength of Suresh Gopi, BJP was successful in making inroads in Kerala. He won the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat.

Hema Malini: Film industry’s evergreen actress Hema Malini succeeded in becoming the MP of Mathura for the third time. The actress is an MP from BJP.

Pawan Kalyan: South Indian actor Pawan Kalyan’s party Jana Sena Party had contested the elections under NDA. He won from Pithapuram assembly seat. Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Manoj Tiwari: Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari’s star is high in the world of acting as well as in politics. He won on BJP ticket from North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Tiwari defeated Kanhaiya Kumar, who was contesting from Congress.

Ravi Kishan: Another superstar of Bhojpuri films, Ravi Kishan won from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. He defeated the Samajwadi Party candidate.

Smriti Irani: ‘Because Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ actress and former Amethi MP Smriti Irani this time Lok Sabha elections I had to face defeat. Irani was defeated by Congress candidate KL Sharma.
