The first list of Balvatika and Class 1 will be released on this date.

If you have applied for admission in Balvatika or Class 1 for the session 2026-27 in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, then now the wait for the result is about to end. KVS has announced the dates for releasing the first provisional list.

When will the first provisional list come?
The first selection list for Balvatika-1, 2 (wherever applicable) and Balvatika-3 will be released on 8 April 2026. Whereas the first list for Class 1 students will be released on 9 April 2026. Due to elections in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry, the list of both Balvatika and Class 1 will be released on 10 April 2026.

If seats remain vacant after the first list, then KVS will release the second provisional list on 16 April 2026. After this, the third and final list will be released on 21 April 2026.

How will the admission be done?
First of all, selection will be done under RTE (Right to Education). After this, students of Service Priority Category I and II will get the opportunity. Finally, admission of other students will be done on the remaining seats.

When will the offline admissions take place?
If online applications are less, then a new notification will be issued for special categories (RTE, SC, ST, OBC) on 21 April 2026. Offline registrations will be from 22 to 26 April 2026 and admissions will be given by releasing the list between 27 to 30 April.

Updates for other classes
Admissions for Balvatika-2 and classes above Class 2 (except Class 11) will be offline from 2 to 8 April 2026. Their selection list will come on 13 April and admissions will be completed from 15 to 20 April.

Class 11 Admission Update
Admissions in Class 11 will start after the Class 10 result of Central Board of Secondary Education. Registration for KV students will start within 10 days of the result, and the entire process will be finished within 30 days.

Last admission date
Except Class 11, the last date for admission in all other classes is 30 June 2026. If seats remain vacant, then admissions can be given till 31 July 2026.
