UPSSSC has released more than 900 vacancies for the post of ASO and ARO, apply immediately.

UPSSSC recruitment 2026: Another big opportunity has come for the youth preparing for government jobs. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has issued more than 900 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Statistics Officer and Assistant Research Officer. The application process for these posts has started and interested candidates can apply online till the due date. According to the information released by the Commission, a total of 929 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Of these, 916 posts are for Assistant Statistics Officer, while 13 posts have been earmarked for Assistant Research Officer. To apply, candidates will have to visit the official website.

Online applications for this recruitment have started from 21 April 2026. The last date for applying and depositing fees has been fixed as May 11, 2026. Whereas candidates will be able to make amendments in their application form till 18 May 2026. The application process is completely online and all the candidates have to fill the form along with the prescribed fee.

Who can apply for this?

The minimum age of the candidates applying for these posts has been fixed at 21 years and maximum 40 years. Persons belonging to reserved category will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per rules. Talking about educational qualification, the candidate must have a post graduation degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or Economics. Along with this, knowledge of computer has also been made mandatory. At the same time, knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script is also necessary. Apart from this, only those candidates can apply for this recruitment, who have participated in the preliminary qualifying examination.

What will be the exam pattern?

For this recruitment, objective type questions will be asked in the main examination. There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam and 2 hours will be given for it. One mark will be given for every correct answer, while there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answer. The question paper consists of three sections. The first section will have questions of 65 marks from Statistics and Mathematics. There will be questions of Computer and IT for 15 marks while General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh will be of 20 marks.
