He says that children’s outdoor activities should be kept to a minimum and they should wear loose, light cotton clothes. Dark colored clothes should be avoided, because they absorb more heat.

According to Dr. Manju Nimesh, if the child has got heatstroke and the body temperature has increased, then first of all he should take off his clothes, sprinkle the body with cold water and then spread the water on the body and wipe it. If the child is older then make him sit in cold water. If the child is talking nonsense or his mental condition is not good, then take him to the hospital immediately, because in such cases even a slight delay can prove dangerous.
