Will Vaibhav Suryavanshi be banned? What action can be taken on dispute with Sri Lankan team? Know the rules

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a part of India-A in the tri-series being played in Sri Lanka. The fourth match of the series was played last Monday (15 June) between India-A and Sri Lanka-A. In the match, Team India had to face defeat in the super over. After this Vaibhav was seen fighting with Sri Lankan players.

The matter was not limited to just conversation or debate, there was a scuffle between Vaibhav and Sri Lankan players. Now the question is arising whether Vaibhav will be banned for fighting or what action can be taken against him? Here you will get complete information about it.

Will ICC take action against Vaibhav?

Actually, this matter can be quite serious. In case of physical fighting and scuffle, many actions can be taken by ICC. But the thing to note here is that ICC does not usually decide on disciplinary matters in ‘A’ series. The International Cricket Council does not even appoint match officials for such matches. Therefore, there is little hope that any ban or fine will be imposed on Vaibhav in this case. At present, no official information has been received regarding the ban in this matter.

Sri Lankan player did sled

According to Cricbuzz, after the end of the Super Over, Sri Lankan player Vishen Halambage sledged Vaibhav. Halambage had told Vaibhav, ‘The match is over… now you go home.’ After hearing this, Vaibhav became red with anger and he went alone and fought with the Lankan team.

There was a disappointing performance from India-A in the Super Over. Sri Lanka, who came to bat first, had scored 16 runs. India-A, which came out for the chase, could score only 09 runs. Suryansh Shedge and Vaibhav Suryavanshi came on the field for the team.
