How much battery is consumed by keeping Bluetooth on in the phone all the time? Know the answer?

Bluetooth Battery Usage: Many people think that keeping Bluetooth always on drains the phone’s battery quickly, so they turn it off every time after use. But its truth is a little different. After doing a lot of testing, it was revealed that there was no significant impact on the battery after keeping Bluetooth on for the whole day. In that test it was revealed that even after keeping Bluetooth on for the whole day, the battery of the phone decreased only by about 1 to 2%. That is, this proves that turning on Bluetooth has very little impact on the battery.

How does Bluetooth Low Energy save battery?

The reason for this is today’s Bluetooth technology, which is called Bluetooth Low Energy i.e. BLE. This technology sends data in small packets and consumes very little power, so that the battery of both the phone and the connected device is conserved. This means that when Bluetooth is only on and not connected to any device, it uses almost no battery. That is, when you are using Bluetooth by connecting it to a device, only then its battery drains.

What causes the battery to be spent?

In such a situation, it comes to everyone’s mind that why is the battery draining even when the phone is not being used. The reason for this is not that Bluetooth is turned on, but the reason is that the screen and location service remain on continuously. According to a test, about 40% to 50% of the battery is used by keeping the screen on continuously. Whereas GPS consumes about 10 to 20% battery every hour. Therefore, if your phone is discharging quickly, then first pay attention to the screen brightness and location settings.

This does not mean at all that you should never turn off Bluetooth. If you are not connected to any device and are not going to use it for a long time, then it has negligible impact on the battery.
