Last chance for NEET UG fee refund, NTA extends date for updating bank details

If you had given NEET UG 2026 exam and are waiting for the fee refund, then there is relief news for you. National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for updating or verifying bank account information. Now candidates can check or correct their bank details till 7th July 2026 at 11:50 pm.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind those students who were not able to provide correct bank information within the earlier stipulated time or who had made a mistake while filling the account details. NTA says that the fee refund of any eligible candidate should not be stopped just because of a technical or minor mistake.

According to the notice issued by the agency, the refund portal will remain open till July 7. During this time, candidates can view their bank details, correct them or even update new information if necessary.

Two-tier verification required

To update bank details, candidates will first have to login to the registration portal and complete the two-factor authentication process. Only after this the information related to the bank account can be changed.

You can also upload canceled check

If required, candidates can also upload a canceled check to confirm their bank account. This will make it easier to check bank details and there will be less chances of any problem in the refund process.

Please check the information before submitting

NTA has clarified that once the bank details are submitted after completing the authentication, the same information will be considered final. Therefore, candidates should submit the form only after thoroughly checking the account number, IFSC code, account holder name and all other information. Even a small mistake can cause delay in getting fee refund.

Update bank details like this

First of all go to the official website of NEET UG. Click on the link ‘Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund’ there. After this sign in with the help of your login credentials. Go to the dashboard and select ‘Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation’ option. Here, check your bank information carefully and make changes if necessary. After all the information is correct, submit the form and download the confirmation page and keep it with you.
