Conspiracy of major attack in Delhi foiled, 6 accused of Pakistan linked network arrested

In a major action, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has dealt a severe blow to the network of gangster Shehzad Bhatti based in Pakistan. The police busted two different modules simultaneously and arrested six accused. Of these, two accused were planning to carry out a major attack with petrol bombs in Delhi, while four accused were part of a gang that brought illegal weapons from Punjab and supplied them to Delhi-NCR and other states.

The arrested Danish and Salman are residents of Khatauli, Uttar Pradesh. Investigation has revealed that both were preparing to target any police establishment or other important government facility in Delhi. The Special Cell caught both of them in time, due to which a major terrorist incident was averted.

Petrol bombs, Reiki videos and objectionable chats recovered

Police have recovered three petrol bombs, recce videos of possible targets, objectionable chats, a solar modified bike and other items from the possession of both the accused. Initial investigation has revealed that both were in direct contact with Hunar Rana, a close associate of Shehzad Bhatti and were working on his instructions.

Another network supplying weapons also exposed

The Special Cell has arrested Tayyab, Fazal Ali, Zubair and Malkit Singh in the second module. According to investigation, all of them were working for another associate of Shahzad Bhatti, Hasan Gurjar alias Azad Panchhi. Hasan Gurjar’s name has already surfaced in cases related to fake SIM cards and CCTV networks.

Weapons used to come from Punjab, supplies were made in Delhi-NCR

According to the police, this gang used to bring sophisticated weapons from Punjab and supply them in many states including Delhi-NCR. Malkit Singh used to bring weapons from Amritsar, while the rest of the accused used to deliver them to different people. Through this network, weapons were continuously being supplied to the criminals.

Chinese pistols, cartridges and vehicles seized

From the second module, the Special Cell has recovered three sophisticated pistols, including two Chinese Star Pistols, a large number of cartridges, incriminating chats, a Ford EcoSport car and another vehicle. The police is also investigating the source of these weapons and their buyers.

According to police officials, initial investigation has revealed direct connection of both the modules with the network of gangster Shehzad Bhatti based in Pakistan. The investigating agencies are now busy in finding out which people or organizations are connected to this network and what major crimes were being planned to be carried out in the country through them.

Timely action, big conspiracy averted

Special Cell says that if the accused were not arrested in time, a major attack or serious criminal incident could have been carried out in Delhi. At present, interrogation of all the accused is going on and other members of this entire network are being searched.
