Recruitment for 395 posts of Specialist Officer in Union Bank, will get a package of up to Rs 47 lakh.

Union Bank Recruitment 2026: Union Bank of India has announced recruitment for candidates preparing to become officers in the banking sector. Union Bank of India has invited applications for recruitment to a total of 395 posts of Specialist Officer, General Banking Officer and Domain Expert Officer under the Recruitment Project 2026-27. The online application process has started from 21st July and candidates can apply till 10th August. This recruitment will be done on regular basis and the selected candidates will be posted across the country as per the requirement of the Bank.

How much recruitment will be done on which posts?

Under this recruitment drive, posts at the level of Manager, Senior Manager, Chief Manager, Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager will be filled. Maximum 163 posts have been earmarked for Manager, 153 posts for Senior Manager, 52 posts for Chief Manager, 20 posts for Assistant General Manager and 7 posts for Deputy General Manager.

Application, fees and age limit for recruitment

The application fee for SC, ST and PWBD category candidates has been kept at Rs 177, while candidates of all other categories will have to pay Rs 1180. The age limit has also been determined differently according to the post. The minimum age for most of the posts is 22 years, while the maximum age is kept between 30 to 50 years. Reserved category candidates will also get relaxation as per rules.

What will be the selection process for all the posts?

Candidates will be selected for MMGS-2 and MMGS-3 level posts on the basis of online examination, followed by group discussion, personal interview, document verification and medical examination if required. Whereas group discussion, other evaluation and interviews can be conducted for senior posts from SMGS-4 to TEGS-6. In the online examination for Specialist Officer posts, mainly professional knowledge of the concerned subject will be asked, whereas for General Banking Officer posts, questions related to Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Professional Knowledge will be asked. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will also be applicable on wrong answer.

Will get annual package up to Rs 47 lakh

Selected candidates will get attractive salary as per the post. The initial pay scale at the manager level will start from Rs 64,820, while the pay scale up to the post of Deputy General Manager will go up to Rs 1,56,500. According to the bank, the estimated annual CTC for different posts can range from around Rs 21 lakh to Rs 47 lakh. Apart from this, benefits of dearness allowance, house rent allowance, medical facility, leave fair concession and other allowances will also be available.

Probation and Service Bond

Selected candidates will have to complete a probation period of 2 years. Besides, service bond of 3 years will also be applicable after appointment. If a candidate leaves the job before the completion of the stipulated period, the prescribed bond amount and applicable taxes will have to be paid as per that post.
