Plan for online study from MBA to BCom (Hons) in DU, you will get degree sitting at home

DU Online Degree: Delhi University is currently going on the admission process for UG programme. Presently the counseling process is going on for different programs in the university. Meanwhile, news of a major change in the studies taking place in Delhi University has also come to light. Actually, Delhi University is preparing to make a big change in the nature of higher education in the coming years. Now Delhi University is planning to start many new degree programs through online and open and distance learning along with traditional classes. If the proposal gets final approval, then from the academic level 2027-28, students will be able to do many degree courses including MBA, M.Com even sitting at home.

The final decision will be taken in the Executive Council

This proposal of online and open and distance learning will be given in-principle consent in the Executive Council meeting to be held on July 30. The university believes that this initiative will be especially beneficial for those students who could not attend regular classes due to job, family responsibilities or other reasons. In the meeting, the minutes of the Executive Council meeting held on April 29 will also be given final approval. According to the University, no objection or amendment was received from any member till the stipulated time, hence these have been placed before the Council for full confirmation.

New courses will start in online and ODL mode

The most important agenda of the meeting is to start new educational programs through School of Open Learning, Department of Distance and Continuing Education and open learning of the campus. According to this proposal, two new courses will be started in open and distance learning mode, which include MA (English) and BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication.

These programs will start in online mode

There are preparations to start four new programs for students in online mode. In these, courses like B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons) English, MBA and B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science are proposed to be started from 2027-28.

There will be amendments in the genetics program also

A proposal to amend the genetics curriculum under the Post Graduate Curriculum Framework has also been made in the meeting of Delhi University. Under this, only modification correction will be done by removing the word minor modification. So that comprehensive academic changes can be made as per the requirement in the syllabus of third and fourth semester of MA and MSc Genetics.
