CG Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026: A good update has come out for the candidates preparing to become government teachers. Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB) has released the official notification for recruitment to 2,292 posts of Assistant Teacher. The online application process for this recruitment has started. Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to a total of 2,292 assistant teacher posts in Chhattisgarh. Of these, 795 posts have been fixed for Assistant Teacher (E-cadre) and 1,497 posts have been fixed for Assistant Teacher (T-cadre). The online application process has started from 24th July 2026 and candidates can apply from 21st August 2026. In case of any mistake in the application, there will be a chance for correction from 22 to 24 August 2026.

How much is the application fee?
The application fee for this recruitment has been decided according to the category of the candidates. General category candidates will have to pay Rs 350, Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates will have to pay Rs 250, while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Disabled (PwD) category candidates will have to pay Rs 200 as application fee. Application fee has to be paid during the online application process.
Who can apply?
Candidates applying for recruitment will have to fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed by the department. The candidate must have prescribed educational qualification from a recognized board or institute. For teacher recruitment, it may be necessary to have necessary training qualifications, such as D.El.Ed/B.Ed. Also, the age limit will be as per the rules set by the department. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in age limit as per rules. At the same time, the candidate must fulfill all the rules and eligibility conditions related to recruitment and all the necessary documents should be available at the time of application.
